I find it hard to remember the last time I shared a podium with an advocate of Marxism-Leninism to student activists. Those student activists just happen to be Palestinians.
Press TV this morning provided such an opportunity when I joined Khaled Barakat of the Masar Badil Movement, also known as the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path, to discuss the present situation in Lebanon under Israeli attack.
I present the result of our 15 minute on-air discussion in the belief that it was not only challenging but also illuminating. And, I note with pleasure, that the level of our interaction was quite civilized, considerably more so, I add parenthetically, than my recent ‘debate’ with a Harvard educated journalist based in Moscow a week or so ago.
